Goals and Purpose

This website will serve both as an online portfolio, and as a host for the assignments and demonstrations from the IS 235 class which demonstrate my skills and knowledge gained from the class.

Audience

My target audience includes the IS 235 class, specifically Brother Robertson, and all those wishing to see my artwork.

Age: 18+ My audience will mostly be college students and possible future employers

Audience description:

Because this is a portfolio that will include my web design work, I will be very careful in how I follow guidelines and comply to validators so that my site will be seen as professional as possible to my users.

Audience Accessibility: Because my website will consist mostly of artwork, I am sure that my audience will most likely not include people who are blind, and not likely those who are color blind. But to be on the safe side, I will be sure to provide accessible and easily understood links for screen readers, and be sure that my website’s contrast is sufficient for those with low vision. I do not plan to include audio files on this website.

Design Requirements

My layout will consist of a banner, a left-hand side vertical navigation bar inside the banner, and a content section with a footer within the content section.

The Fonts will include Verdana for all headers, and either Verdana Arial for all paragraph and list text. Colors will include blues, purples, grays, and blacks.
